Pastor Joe Lietzke's Pastor's Post on Facebook: "You ever heard the saying, I cant see the forest for the trees? Nowhere is that any more correct than for those struggling with problems, fears and addictions. When your in the swamp, up to your armpits in alligators, you will most likely need some help to drain that swamp! I believe the number one rule of getting well is to get honest with yourself first. You may not understand what all the problems entail, but you know your in a mess and its destroying your life and everything your connected too. So quit trying to deny whats happening and get honest with yourself. Most everybody around you has figured it out anyway. This I know, and that is sin is a very nasty task master. It ruins and destroys all that is under its power and no one is the exception. Here's My Pastorally advice for you, after you stop denying your mess. Get Help! If your a man, quit being so macho. Its keeping you in this mess! If your a woman, all that you have schemed hasn't worked anyway. Stop the lie and get help. "Tonight [Wednesdays] at 6:30 pm we have Addiction Free In Christ at New Revival Center, across from O'Riellys in Versailles. Its a Christian support group for problem, fears and addictions. that meets every Wed evening. No one there will judge you, because we understand what your going through. We have also experienced the power of God that can set you free and give you new hope. Most of all, Jesus is your answer and He regularly attends our meetings LOL. We love you, even in the mess. May 2024 News letter From Pastor Jerry
Dear Friend,
We greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank you for being a major part in the Addiction Free in Christ ministries, A Ministry of Miracles. Without you and our other Faith Foundation Partners we could not be doing the work that God has called us to do. And thank you for your continued prayers for my healing because the last month has been very trying for the ministry due to my cancer battle which God is taking us through at this time. I’m glad to share with you that the cancer treatments are going well. As we remember Jesus told us in Matthew 28:18 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” You see that tells us that Jesus has all authority over everything that can come against us, whether it be physical, financial, or spiritual. Which helps me as I go through this battle to do what an old time Christian song said “Trust and obey, trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus then trust and obey.” The other old Christian song that helps us to go through this is: “Standing on The Promises of God.” “1) Standing on the promises of Christ, my King, Through eternal ages let His praises ring; Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, Standing on the promises of God. Refrain: Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God, my Savior; Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. 2) Standing on the promises that cannot fail. When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God. 3) Standing on the promises of Christ, the Lord, Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord, Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword, Standing on the promises of God. 4) Standing on the promises I cannot fall, List'ning ev'ry moment to the Spirit's call, Resting in my Savior as my all in all, Standing on the promises of God.” It also reminds me of a Scripture in Mark 4:35-41 where Jesus was in the boat with His disciples on the sea and a great windstorm arose and the waves beat the boat and He was asleep in the boat and His disciples said ““Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”…”Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” In the same way Jesus is speaking to our storms, Peace Be Still! Thank you for your continued prayers and support as a vital part of this ministry, with your help we are winning this battle and continuing to do what God has called us to do.
